The product is the result of close and successful cooperation with the Amberg-Weiden University of Applied Sciences via the City of Bamberg's science fund.

With the support of Prof. Dr. C. Bulitta and Dr. S. Buhl, abrasion and efficacy studies have demonstrated that surfaces coated with HECOSOL's TiTANO® continue to retain their antibacterial effect after more than 5,000 abrasion cycles (wet / dry).

An increasing health risk.

Regular cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces only leads to a short-term reduction of germs and is therefore not a permanent solution! The reduction of germs occurs selectively and within a limited time frame and would have to be repeated after each contact in order to achieve a corresponding effect. This is usually not feasible and also not affordable.

Coating the surfaces with HECOSOL-TITANO® ensures a constantly low germ load and thus represents constant prevention against infections.


The antimicrobial HECOSOL TECHNOLOGY.

To reliably and effectively seal surfaces of all kinds of materials (leather, glass, plastic, metal, textiles, etc.) and geometries (e.g. keyboards, tables, chairs) gently, TITANO® is applied as a very fine mist using a precisely defined process to achieve homogeneous surface coverage. The coating is applied using a special electrostatic process. Due to this special technique, the coating can also be applied to places that are difficult to access, such as a keyboard. The tiny droplets of 2 to 20 µm, which are invisible to the naked eye, are absorbed into the surface and form an abrasion-resistant, transparent and odourless coating.

The coating is compatible with most materials, such as glass, stainless steel, wood, stone and leather. This means: HECOSOL-TITANO® can be applied in existing facilities both on walls and furnishings (such as desks, seating furniture) as well as in air conditioning systems.

The coating works independently of external factors such as light and climate. In addition, HECOSOL-TiTANO® adsorbs volatile organic compounds (VOCs, acetone, formaldehyde) and thus actively helps to improve the indoor climate.
